My stay at No. 5 Maddox Street was quite enjoyable overall, given the fantastic location near Oxford Circus and the spaciousness of my suite. However, the absence of a lift made navigating the stairs cumbersome, especially while carrying luggage. Additionally, while the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the foyer could use some touches to enhance its welcoming vibe.

5.6/10

Staying at No.5 Maddox Street in London was a mixed experience for me. The central location made everything easily accessible, particularly the shops on Regent Street and the vibrant Soho area nearby. However, the lack of an elevator meant quite the workout with luggage, which was tough on the fifth floor! While the staff were friendly and helpful, the apartment itself felt a bit outdated and cramped, which may not suit everyone’s taste.

Rooms

My apartment was clean but small with signs of wear, and the living area was quite cramped. The bathroom felt more like a cupboard, and I definitely missed having a washing machine. Still, the bed was comfortable, and the high-quality toiletries were a nice touch.
Service
8.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and provided quick assistance with my luggage, which made my check-in experience smoother despite the cramped reception area. They were often around to offer help and advice, which I appreciated.
Location

You can't beat the location! It's just off Regent Street, meaning all the main shopping areas were within a short stroll, and I enjoyed exploring local eateries and attractions easily. I loved the vibrancy of the neighbourhood.

I didn’t try the breakfast, but I noticed nearby cafes and restaurants were perfect for morning meals. The options around were abundant, which is great for a longer stay.
Facilities

While the kitchen was well-equipped, I was surprised that there wasn’t a washing machine, which would have been useful for longer visits. The lack of amenities like a lift was a downside as well.

My stay at No. 5 Maddox Street was mostly enjoyable, with the bright and clean apartment creating a welcoming atmosphere. I loved the really good location, just off Regent Street, which made it easy to explore the area. However, my experience was slightly marred by a few inconveniences, such as the absence of an elevator and some disappointments regarding the amenities provided.

6.8/10

My stay at No. 5 Maddox Street was a mix of highlights and disappointments. The location is fabulous, just a stone's throw from Regent Street and bustling Soho, which made exploring so convenient. However, the upstairs accommodations left much to be desired. The lack of an elevator made carrying bags an arduous task, and the space felt cramped and in need of a refresh. Overall, while the charming staff do their best, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

Rooms
5.0
The two-bedroom loft apartment was quite cramped and had a musty smell. The furnishings were outdated, particularly the couch, which severely lacked comfort. The bathroom felt more like a closet than a functional space, and it lacked necessary amenities like a heated towel rack.
Service
6.0
The staff were polite and friendly, offering help with our luggage upon arrival. However, the check-in process was a bit odd, and the reception area felt cramped and noisy.
Location
8.0
The location is superb, just minutes away from Oxford Circus and close to plenty of shops and restaurants. However, the area can be quite noisy until late at night, which may disrupt light sleepers.
Dining
5.0
While I appreciated the provisions in the kitchen, including coffee and snacks, the overall dining experience was overshadowed by the accommodation's shortcomings.
Facilities
5.0
Without a washing machine or dryer, staying for longer than a couple of days could prove challenging. Additionally, the lack of a lift for upper-floor rooms is quite inconvenient.

I had a fantastic stay at No.5 Maddox Street, with an excellent central location just a stone's throw from Regent Street. The spacious apartment was well-equipped, making it easy for me to whip up meals and feel at home. However, my experience was marred slightly by a frustrating moment when the receptionist left without giving me the entrance codes, leaving me locked out for over an hour. Other than that hiccup, I would definitely return!
